Improve your
Social Media Entrepreneurship Skills

According to the 2022 Digital Entrepreneurship in Africa report, published by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, just four countries (South Africa – 23%, Nigeria - 13%, Egypt – 12%, and Kenya – 11%) account for about 60 percent of the continent’s total digital innovation activity. Based on these facts, the DIGIPRENEUR project aims to boost the capacity in the field of digital entrepreneurship among African and European countries.

In this project, 8 partners from Spain, Latvia, Greece, Portugal, Nigeria (2 partners), South Africa and Kenya will:

  • Identify role models to serve as good and ethical examples of social media entrepreneurial activity

  • Develop a digital entrepreneurship HUB for both vocational education training (VET) learners and VET trainers, teachers and mentors which will:

    • Transfer, upgrade, and test a bespoke training curriculum on social media businesses;

    • Develop and test new bespoke training modules on e-commerce (for African countries with specific focus on African e-commerce solutions) and principles of outstanding digital enterprises

    • Integrate social media profiles and digital entrepreneurship roles as the examples from partner countries

  • Develop a proposal for a local networking and experience-based learning initiative

  • Will organise two 5-day trainings covering social entrepreneurship, e-commerce, and principles of outstanding digital entreprises

  • Will organise local capacity-building activities as learning and sharing events and e-learning experimentation

  • Will organise 3 virtual marathons for young digital entrepreneurs

  • Will organise two 5-day EU-Africa digital entrepreneurship experiental work-based learning experiences
